A: No. Adjustments are typically painless and feel great. However, sometimes you will notice soreness after an adjustment. The soreness is like that experienced after a workout.
A: Most needles are not even felt when inserted. The needles used are about the size of a pore on your skin. There are certain points used that are noticeable, but it is very mild.
A: The adjustment works when the spine, or other joint, becomes restricted, or loses motion. The adjustment restores motion to these segments that have previously been without.
A: When a joint is restricted, the muscles surrounding that joint are also involved. Research has shown us that tissue takes approximately 6 weeks of repetition to make a permanent change. This is the reason why multiple treatments are needed. This is also the reason why a personalized home exercise program is strongly recommended.
